BENTON, ILLINOIS — Franklin Hospital, located in Benton, Illinois is announcing the addition of Darla Allan, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C to expand availability of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services. Darla will begin seeing patients on January 17, 2024. The office is currently accepting appointments for new patients by calling 618-435-9760. Darla’s practice will be located on the 3rd floor of Franklin Hospital.

Franklin Hospital District CEO Jim Johnson shared, “We are pleased Darla has chosen to join Franklin Hospital to care for the residents of Franklin County. Her interest and experience in behavioral health will allow us to serve a wider patient population and help our patients as needs arise.”

As a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner, Darla’s practice includes caring for individuals ages 6 and older by providing one-on-one individualized therapeutic counseling to develop a plan of treatment and follow-up care helping children, adolescents, and adults cope with disorders, social issues, relationship problems, self-esteem issues and a variety of life challenges.

Darla’s scope of care includes, but is not limited to:
Thoughts of hurting ones’ self
PTSD of any cause
Trauma as a result of COVID
Stress and Irritability
Overwhelming anxiety or fear
Feeling depressed or unmotivated
Decreased social interaction
Decreased energy or fatigue
Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
Appetite and/or weight changes
